Testing for LEARNING CLASS NAMES -
My class enjoyed the The Honeybee and the Robber. I chose to try your activity using names of my students and and no pictures. After a few tries they were able to recognize the names and enjoyed the game. It would be fun to play this early on using the pictures as you suggested for the beginning. this is an excellant game for Kindergarteners. Great Job my kids loved this and I found them playing it by themselves!
For another extention you could use color words, number words or High Frequency words.
I might add that I would not try this until the students are used to programming the BEE-BOT. It is amazing some of my students are better at programming them than I am!
